Bukhari resumes office, says portfolio wasn’t reason behind resignation

Srinagar: The aggrieved former revenue Minister, Syed Basharat Bukhari who had tendered his resignation from the cabinet Monday resumed the office.
“Yes, I resumed the office today. I met with the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and discussed all the issues not only vis-a-vis the letter citing resignation post reshuffle but also the communication which I had sent prior last month (January) and many more related to party affairs and the governmental as well,” Basharat said.
Rejecting the rumours that he had tendered his resignation over the issue of portfolio, Bukhari said, “No portfolio was not the issue but certain developments over the period were looming large there but now I hope everything goes well.”
It is worth to mention that the newly introduced party leader, Tassaduq Mufti had intervened to resolve the issues confronting between the aggrieved Basharat with his party.
Basharat held an hour long discussion with CM earlier in the day. KNS
