Anti-militancy search op called off after people disrupt it

Pulwama: Days after army chief Bipin Rawat warned people of a “harsh action” if they help militants escape during gunfights or disrupt counterinsurgency operations, scores of youths pelted government forces with stones during a search operation in Wurwan village of Pulwama district.
Army and police had launched a search operation following inputs about the presence of militants in the village. However, after clashes between the protesters and government forces, the search operation was called off.
