Horticulture schemes reviewed in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Vice-Chairman Horticulture Board  Nizam-ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting to review the progress of schemes implemented for promotion of horticulture in Kashmir division.
Secretary Horticulture, M H Malik, Director Horticulture Kashmir, district and divisional heads of the department were present in the meeting.
The Director Horticulture presented the overview of all the schemes implemented in the division and the ways of enhancing potential of Horticulture sector in Kashmir division.
The meeting discussed the issues like Farm Mechanization, strengthening of irrigation infrastructure, land resources and the technology transfer in the state with the scope in the potential areas.
Review of all the schemes implemented in the Kashmir province was held with regard to physical and financial achievements thereof.
The Vice Chairman applauded the role the officers in respective districts and asserted that all the stakeholders including the growers have hopes from the officers for the uplift of the farming community.
