Forces call off operation after clashes in Pulwama village

Pulwama: Clashes erupted between the government forces and protesters at Wurwan village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Saturday during a search operation, local sources said.
They said a search and cordon operation was launched by army and SOG following an input about the presence of militants at Wurwan Newa village.
During the search operation scores of local youths pelted stones on government forces, eyewitnesses said.
They said that that forces retaliated by using force against the stone-pelting protesters.
Soon after the clashes, the cordon and search operation was called off.
