Low tension wires, slumped poles threatening lives in Tral

TRAL: Scores of people including women on Saturday held protests against the Power Development Department (PDD) here in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district alleging that the low tension wires “continue to pose threat to our lives”.
“PDD officials have turned a blind eye towards this disaster in making. The slumped poles are a threat to our lives,” one of the protesters said. “We have several times complained to authorities regarding the issue but nothing was done in this regard. We even requested them to install new electric poles but they seem to be not bothered about such a sensitive issue,” another protester said.
