Srinagar: Authorities have made heavy deployments in Srinagar, Trehgam and other places on Saturday following pro-freedom-called protest shutdown to remember JKLF founder, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat on his 33rd death anniversary.
Heavy security deployment was made in district headquarters and towns to prevent protests called by the pro-freedom leaders on the death anniversary of Bhat.
Bhat was hanged in Delhi`s Tihar Jail on February 11, 1984.
The family of Bhat and pro-freedom leaders have been demanding the return of his mortal remains from the authorities since.
Meanwhile, all shops and business establishments are closed in Kashmir on the call of pro-freedom joint resistance leadership.
Public transport, other businesses and coaching centres also remained closed throughout the valley.
