Clashes erupt in Sopore after prayers

Srinagar: Clashes between the government forces and protesters erupted in Sopore town after Friday prayers.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that forces used massive shelling to disperse the protesters who were raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.
They said that soon after the congregational prayers people assembled outside local Jamia Masjid and started marching towards main chowk Sopore.
However, the forces stopped the protesters triggering clashes.
The pro-freedom leadership had appealed people to protests after Friday prayers against the the death sentence to a Kulgam youth by a Kolkata court.
