Budgam records 92.45 percent

BUDGAM: Despite heavy snowfall in the area, the Pulse Polio Immunization Programme
(IPPI) was launched in district Budgam where thousands of children under the age of 5 years were administered polio drops at pulse polio centres being set up by the administration at various
locations.
On the first day, 94230 children were administered pulse polio drops at different centers located in the district.
The programme would be conducted for three consecutive days to safeguard the children from this crippling disease.
More than 1,01,919 children would be covered under the programme in the district for which 2253 employees and volunteers have been deputed in 612 pulse-polio booths.
In order to ensure that cent per cent target is achieved in next two-days of the programme, the CMO constituted the 9 mobile teams for conducting door-to-door surveys in the district.
About 1,01919 children are being targeted in the district for which 2253 workers and volunteers have been deployed at 622 booths including 57 hard weak, 9 mobile teams, 4 slim booths with 10 district level supervisors and 117 block level supervisors.
