JAMMU: The government on Monday disclosed that training in the use of non-lethal weapons has been introduced in the basic induction courses of jawans and officers at the police training centres.
Replying to a query regarding the sort of training imparted to security and police officials regarding the use of non-lethal weapons, the government informed   that training in the use of non-lethal weapons has been introduced in the basic induction courses of Jawans and officers at the police training centres.
The government added that refresher courses in the use of non-lethal weapons, which include tear smoke guns, tear smoke grenades and pump-action guns are being regularly organized for the security personnel and police men jointly in all district police lines. These training also include riot and mob control trainings to deal with mobs.
