Rasheed Tuesday said that marshalling him day in and day out from the assembly would not deter him from speaking for the deprived people of J&K.
As per a statement of AIP, as soon as house began its proceedings, Rasheed wanted to know about the government promise to release the juvenile Sahil Ahamd Sheikh.
“Police started harassing the school headmaster for issuing the date of birth certificate to Rasheed,: the statement said.
“May Govt. explain what wrong the headmaster has done that he is being humiliated,” Rasheed asked assembly.
Rasheed protested and lashed out at chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, who was in the house.
Rasheed according to the statement was confronted by NC MLA, Akbar Lone supported by PDP and BJP MLA’s as well and they started hurdling abuses at him.
“It was ironical that house was unanimous in asking speaker to marshal Rasheed out,” the statement said.
