Kashmiris’ aspirations muzzled: UJC

Srinagar: United Jihad Council (UJC), a group of Muzaffarabad based militant outfits on Monday appealed to the people to observe January 26 as ‘black day’ to protest against the ‘reign of terror’ unleashed by India in Kashmir.
In an e-mailed statement, UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted UJC chief Syed Salahuddin as saying that India has suppressed basic human rights of Kashmiris and muzzled their aspirations. “People should observe it (January 26) as black day as a sign of protest,” Salahuddin said.
Salahuddin said hollowness of Indian democracy was exposed as fanatic organizations have been directly ruling the country. “India has been using brute force in Kashmir. Youth are arrested and leadership is being detained in their houses. Whole Valley has been turned into a garrison,” Salahudiin was quoted as saying in a meeting.
