Minister’s absence forces 10 minute adjournment of assembly

Jammu: Deputy Speaker Assembly Nazir Gurezi Thursday directed the government to ensure presence of concerned ministers in the house minutes after Industries and Commerce Minister Chander Prakash Ganga left when MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Dar was speaking on the motion of grants moved by the Industries and Commerce department.
Though Parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rahman Veeri assured the house that he would himself listen the members speaking on the motion of grants on behalf of Industries and Commerce Minister but deputy speaker Gurezi did not agree with the minister and adjourned the house for ten minutes to ensure that the minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga himself returns to the house to listen the members speaking on the motion of the grants of the Industries and Commerce department.
The minister Incharge Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga returned to the house much before the expiry of 10 minute adjournment announced by the deputy Speaker assembly. (KNS)
