Speaker says no to discussion on judicial probe, Oppn walks out

Jammu: Opposition created ruckus in the assembly once again on Wednesday, seeking a discussion on the demand for a judicial probe into 2016 killings.
Opposition legislators trooped into the well of the House and shouted slogans against the government, calling it as an agent of Bajrang Dal and RSS. They disrupted business of the House for half an hour.
When the Speaker disallowed the discussion over the demand for judicial probe, Opposition staged a walkout for an hour.
Outside the assembly, GM Saroori of Congress called Mehbooba Mufti-led government “deaf and dumb”.
“If they are not involved in the killings let they constitute a judicial probe, everything will become clear, whether security forces, parents of children, opposition or government are culprits.  Pull off the curtains from darkness and let the people come to know who is responsible,” he said.
Ali Mohammad Sagar said, “It is important for all of us to know which agency was involved in 2016 uprising.”
‘’It is their senior leader Muzaffar Hussian Beigh who had briefed media that some police officials have created this mess to destabilize the present government. If that is a fact then announce a judicial probe,’’ he said.
He said that if a judicial probe is being instituted in the killing of a lecturer in Khrew and that of an ATM guard from Chattabal, then “what about the other 100 people who lost their lives.”
MLA Devsar Mohammad Amin Bhat also demanded a judicial into the killing, in his constituency, of two women who were killed in firing by army.
“Deputy commissioner Kulgam had assured that enquiry will be conducted and its report will come within seven days but for the past four months we are waiting for the report of enquiry,” he said.
