Srinagar: The National Investigative Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against militant Bahadur Ali, pointing out that he along with his associates illegally infiltrated the Indian territory where they committed acts of violence, reports said on Friday.
The chargesheet, which has been filed at the NIA special court at Patiala House in New Delhi, shows that Ali is a resident of district Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan.
Ali has been booked under section 120(B) of IPC along with sections-17, 18, 20 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, section 121-A and 489(C) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, section- 9B of the Explosives Act, 1884, section- 4 of the Explosives Substances Act, 1908, section- 7/25 & 10/25 of the Arms Act, 1959, section-14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946, section 6(1A) of the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933.
The chargesheet presented by NIA also points out that the accused along with two other associates Abu Saad and Abu Darda illegally infiltrated into J&K by crossing the LoC.
He was arrested on July 25 last year near the village Yahama while he was on a mission to receive a fresh group of militants, the chargesheet reportedly said. (Agencies)
