KU VC underscores knowledge renewal

Srinagar: Vice-chancellor of University of Kashmir Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi on Wednesday said the changing paradigms of higher education are going to throw up new challenges and opportunities for teachers and they need to constantly update themselves on information and knowledge they possess.
Addressing college and university teachers at the valedictory function of 73rd general orientation course and three-week refresher course, Prof Andrabi said that things in the higher education sector have undergone a huge change and “our teachers have to be ready to face the new challenges in their way.”
He also spoke about the importance of ‘teaching ethics’ in order to become “better teachers.” “The actual essence is to improve upon things and change with the changing paradigms to stay relevant,” he said. “If we don’t keep pace with the changing scenarios and trends, we shall be in the face of getting irrelevant.”
