Parvez Ahmad appointed as JK Bank chairman

Srinagar: Reserve Bank of India on Friday cleared Parvez Ahmad’s nomination for chairman and CEO Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

The Board of directors had proposed three names including executive president Parvez Ahmad, Sarita Chauhan, secretary social welfare department, and Parveez Khateeb, commissioner commercial taxes department to the apex Bank for its approval.

Parvez will join the new assignment on October 6, a day after the incumbent chairman Mushtaq Ahmad will complete his second term, wrote Bank’s Incharge Corporate Communication Sajjad Bazaz  on Facebook.

Parvez, who is currently heading business support division and corporate credit  joined J&K Bank as Company Secretary in 1998.
