Srinagar: People in Kashmir on Thursday offered funeral prayers in absentia for two Pakistani soldiers  who were killed in exchange of fire along the Line of Control.

An announcement was made through loudspeakers in Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid area asking people to assemble at Nowhatta. A large number of people offered the prayers.

India claimed to have carried out surgical strikes inside Pakistan killing its two soldiers.
