Governor greets people on World Tourism Day

SRINAGAR: Governor NN Vohra greeted people of Jammu and Kashmir on World Tourism Day, September 27. In his message, the Governor said that tourism was an important segment of J&K’s economy and it can make a much larger contribution. “The state, endowed with incomparably enchanting scenic beauty, should make well-planned efforts to attract the largest possible number of tourists to visit the picturesque areas in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions,” the Governor said. He also expressed hope that peace and normalcy shall soon be restored in the Kashmir Valley and a large number of tourists will visit the state this winter.
