India linking our struggle with cross-border infiltration to legalise its forces’ ‘horrifying actions’: Hurriyat (G)

SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Saturday said Indian “ultranationalist attitude” paints the freedom struggle of Kashmir as “cross border infiltration” to “legalize and justify the horrifying and atrocious handling by their armed forces”.
As per a statement issued to GNS, the amalgam said: “India in order to accomplish its niggling ambitions, their hyperactive and biased media houses add fuel to the fire by labelling and portraying every Kashmiri as terrorist subject them to hilarious and boisterous media trial and sentence them to worst kind of punishment even before their court trial starts.”
Commenting on the widespread arrest spree throughout the Valley, Hurriyat (G) said “arrests, pressure tactics, coercive means, killings, ransacking, and rummage” may lend the administration an applause and clapping from their mentors in Delhi but they deserve nothing except curse from their besieged and oppressed people.
“Indian patriots, secularists, and those claiming to uphold the Kashmiryat and hospitality need to introspect as to why they don’t dare to come on TV screens to deliver the sermons on these glorifying actions of their Kashmiriyat,” it added.
Referring to India’s arms deal with France, the conglomerate said the war hysteria runs very high in both people and rulers of India wherein some even suggest retaliatory aggression against Pakistan. “Leading the arms race from the front, India suffers from the euphoria of expansionism to fulfill its long cherished ambition of ‘Akhand Bharat’ but it will never succeed in its mischievous ambitions,” the statement said.
The amalgam also termed the disallowing of Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid Srinagar and other district central mosques as the “worst and autocratic attitude of interfering in the religious obligations of the people”.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) strongly condemned the killing of a Baramulla youth, Wasim Ahmad Lone, by government forces in Nadihal, Rafiabad and paid tributes to him and all martyrs.
“One fails to understand which democratic clause authorizes these trigger happy killers to act in such a barbaric way. Previously Indian forces used the excuse of armed people for their killings but since last few years they even target the peaceful demonstrations and public meetings to wipe away the younger generation,” the Hurriyat (G) said.
