Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference-led by Syed Ali Geelani on Monday said that India has always looked at Kashmir through security prism and wants to establish “peace of graveyard here by massacre and killings”.
“After 80 deaths, 500 blinded, 1,2000 injured and hundreds of people arrested and facing PSA in jails and interrogation centers, India as always is determined to see it only through the prism of security,” said Hurriyat spokesperson in a statement in reaction to Indian home minister Rajnath Singh’s directions to government forces to “restore normalcy” in the valley within a week.
Commenting on handing over the region to army, Hurriyat said that Kashmiris are living under army for the past seven decades.
“A large scale massacre and wide spread destruction especially in south Kashmir is foreseen and has almost begun with the brutality and barbarism in Karimabad Pulwama yesterday,” it said while condemning the “criminal and shameless support of the local stooges”.
“We have maintained our resolve and determination of the people especially youth that we will continue to strive for our basic human and political rights, no matter for how long the war mongering India continues to remain in denial of these basic rights,” he added.
“Indian rulers are blood thirsty and the bloodbath throughout the valley is nothing but a hobby for their trigger happy forces,” he said.
The amalgam said bringing “normalcy” by using more force has been the age old policy of Indian “occupation” and today also they are repeating the same.
“Instead of listening to the real voice and considering the unending sacrifices of Kashmiris, resort to brute force and silencing people with the barrel of gun,” the statement said.
“This is a message to the Kashmiris that they have enough army to kill, abundant bullets and pellets to maim and ruthless force to cripple entire populace, so better to forget the blood of our loved ones, stop remembering our blind youth and stop seeing the injured and handicapped youth and force us to surrender our honour, dignity and self esteem before their iron-fist. As these Indian rulers are devoid of human heart with emotions they in no way treat us as humans,” it said.
