Cabinet recommends 3-month extension to Rajendra

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has recommended three-month extension in the services of Director General Police K Rajendra who is due to retire by end of this month.

A senior cabinet Minister told KNS “The cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti recommended 3 months extension in the services of incumbent DGP K Rajendra who is due to attain the age of superannuation by September end. The recommendation has been sent to Ministry of Home affairs Government of India”. The minister said that cabinet has also appointed SP Vaid Director General Law & Order and coordination to assist Director General Police in our seeing the Law & Order in the State.
Sources said Vaid is likely to take over as New Director General after retirement of incumbent DGP K Rajendra.
