Srinagar: Kashmir High Court Bar Association on Wednesday condemns the killing of Naseer Ahmad and injuring of more than 100 innocent civilians including a woman at Seer Hamdan in Anantnag district by use of pellets and bullets by the “ruthless” forces.
A spokesman in a statement here said that the forces had barged into their houses, during the night and had dragged them out, only because they were demanding “freedom from India.”
The lawyers body also condemned the killing of Asif Majid Nagoo (15) who succumbed to his injuries, inflicted on him by the forces at Shopian on Sunday, at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
It also condemns the hitting by pellets fired by forces on Saqib Ahmad (16), at Palpora Srinagar, who is working as a volunteer with a Social Reform Organization, when he was ferrying patients from SMHS Hospital Srinagar to their home.
The Bar Associations also welcomes the statement of Pakistan Chief of Army staff, in which he has stated that the Kashmir issue should be settled in accordance with the wishes of the people, as promised to them by Security Council resolutions and of continuing to extend moral as well political support to the Kashmiri people till they achieve their objective.
The Bar Associations also welcomes the statement of Malala Yousufzai, a Pakistani teenage Nobel laureate, who has stated that she stands with the people of Kashmir and 14 million Kashmiri brothers and sisters have always been close to her heart and has called upon the UN, the International Community and India and Pakistan, to work together with utmost urgency and provide the people of Kashmir, the dignity and respect and freedom, they deserve.
The Bar also requests the UN Security Council, to get its 28 resolutions, passed by it on Kashmir implemented in the same manner in which, such kind of resolutions have been got implemented by it, in East Timor, Sudan and other places of the World and save the people of Kashmir of the onslaught and the reign of “terror”, let loose by the Indian forces in Kashmir.
