HC issues bailable warrants against 12 but violators

Asks those who appeared before it to furnish Rs 5000 bail bond, file response to notices
SRINAGAR: The J&K high court on Monday asked about a dozen persons to file response to the show-cause notices issued to them for raising illegal constructions around Dal Lake, one of the endangered water bodies in the Kashmir Valley.
Hearing a Public Interest Litigation a division bench of Justices Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Ali Mohammad Magrey also asked the alleged violators to furnish Rs 50000 as bail bond and surety for same amount for their continuous appearance before the court.
“Other respondents (violators) who figure in the list (published by the divisional commissioner Kashmir through public notice in newspapers) shall be summoned through bailable warrants in the amount of Rs. 50,000,” the court said, adding that the concerned SSP shall be personally responsible for execution of all these warrants.
Those who appeared before the court are Nazir Ahmad Sultan of Sultan Mohalla, Saidakadal, Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Khagi Mohalla, Habbak, Bashir Ahmad Wani of Saderbal, Mohammad Amin Gunjoo, Ghulam Ahmad Doji, both from of Doji Mohalla, Bashir Ahmad Khan of Foreshore road, Nazir Ahmed Sultan of sultan Mohalla Saidakadal, Ghulam Ahmed of Konakhan Dalgate, Gh. Ahmed Dar & Parvaiz ahmad Joo, same area, Ali Mohd Dar and Gh. Mohidin Joo of Lashker Mohalla, Altaf Ahmad Akhoon of Chak Saderbal Hazratbal, Maqhmoor Mir of Saderbal, Kanter, Mohammad Shafi Wani of Saderbal Kanitar, Abdul Karim Danoo of Nigeen, Fateh Akhoon , Mohd Syed Rather of Habbak. Sajd Ahmad Rather , Muzaffar Ahmad Rather of Habbak, Abdul Rehman Sheikh  of Dalgate, Nazir Ahmad Hang of Lashkar Mohalla, Abdul Gaffar Dar and Nazir Ahmad Mir, both from Nigeen.
