KARACHI: The Zil Hijjah moon has not been sighted in Pakistan, which means Eid ul Adha will fall on September 13 (Tuesday) this year, local media reported.
The first day of Zil Hijjah, 1437, will be on September 4 in Pakistan.
The official announcement regarding the moon would be made by committee chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.
Earlier, Met Department predicted that there were fair chances of moon sighting, but unfortunately, no proper evidence was found to Central Ruet – e – Hilal Committee which met in Karachi under Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman.
Members of various district committees would meet at their respective offices for sighting the Eid crescent.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Zil-Hajjah crescent was not sighted in Saudi Arabia, therefore, Eid will be on September 12 (Monday) this year.
