All India Radio to start news bulletin in Balochi language

Jammu: The External Services division of All India Radio is shortly going to start an exclusive news bulletin in Balochi language, particularly for the people living in Balochistan province of Pakistan and other areas.
Media reports said that the information was shared by All India Radio’s director general, Fayyaz Sheheryar, in a meeting with government of India’s Minister Jitendra Singh.
Sheheryar stated that the programmes aired from Radio Kashmir Jammu station of All India Radio were now “flawlessly audible” across Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) and beyond. He said that Radio Kashmir Jammu was not only widely heard in PaK but was also becoming increasingly popular with each passing day.
Jitendra Singh said that installation of a 300 KV Digital Radio Mondial (DRM) transmitter in Jammu would enhance the range of programmes transmitted from Radio Jammu to as far as 300 kms aerial radius or even beyond.
Singh implied that the programmes of Radio Jammu can be heard beyond PaK and areas of Pakistan Punjab, including Lahore.
