Talk to separatists, militants, mainstream oppn: Akbar Lone to Rajnath

Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Sonawari Mohd Akbar Lone has advised Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh to talk to all stakeholders particularly the militants, the separatists and the mainstream opposition for a lasting solution to Kashmir issue.
Talking to KNS Akbar Lone a former speaker assembly said “If the Home Minister Rajnath Singh is coming to Srinagar just to carry out a routine exercise the people won’t expect much from the outcome of the visit of all party delegation to Kashmir”.
Stating that the Home Minister is obliged to keep his word on the use of pellet guns Lone said “immediate ban on pellet guns to stop the continuing cycle of civilian deaths is a pre-requisite as for any dialogue to take place the New Delhi has to restore the faith of the people in the working of the law enforcement agencies”.
Alleging that the presence of police, paramilitaries and army has let loose a reign of terror in several parts of Kashmir including his home constituency Sonawari Lone said “there is no short to some path breaking initiatives for creating a congenial atmosphere of the result oriented dialogue over Kashmir”.
