Srinagar: Veteran pro-freedom leader Syed Ali Geelani has given “fatherly advice” to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to end her “Indian collaboration” and feel the pain of her fellow countrymen. The statement came in response to the PDP spokesman’s request to Geelani to give a chance to “sincere Mehbooba” to work for the people of Kashmir and for Geelani to consider her as his “daughter”.
In a statement, Hurriyat (G) said that Syed Ali Geelani is the leader of the Kashmiri nation and he treats every woman as his daughter. But how does this “daughter” feel happy by confining her “father” in his house for years together and does not hesitate to emotionally blackmail him whenever her position is threatened, the spokesman asked the CM.
The statement said that Geelani had a three-faceted relation with Mehbooba–human, national and religious–“but she has utterly failed to uphold any of these.”
The Hurriyat (G) accused Mehbooba of disrespecting human values through the use of “barbaric armed forces and uncontrolled police who turned this heavenly land into a hell.”
“Here every house is mourning the demise of their loved ones, thereby tarnishing the very fabric of this honourable and pious relation,” the statement said.
“For petty power and to please her masters she (Mehbooba) has been competing in killing and maiming her own people,” the statement said.
“Killing of 8 CRPF personnel (in Pampore attack) brought shame on her Muslim identity, but daily ruthless killings of our youth fails to appeal her conscience to feel sorry for being Indian collaborator,” the statement added.
“As a father, Geelani advised the daughter to not ruin her hereafter for the comforts and luxury of those who kill and destroy Kashmiris,” the statement said.
