SRINAGAR: To improve patient care and handling of emergencies in the present situation of unrest, the director of health services, Kashmir, Dr Saleem ur Rehman on Thursday discussed healthcare services with the medical superintendents of district hospitals.
“A detailed health review of all those hospitals was deliberated upon, including the patient load during the present conditions. The medical superintendents were directed to follow issued standard operating procedures which have been framed keeping the situation into consideration,” a spokesperson said.
Medical superintendents of district hospitals told Dr Rehman of the various issues that needed to be addressed. “The director assured them of all support from the directorate-level to resolve the issues at the earliest,” the spokesperson said.
Also, a detailed deliberation on the SOPs, disaster management, and bio-medical waste management under the ambit of District Health Administrators was discussed.
