Over a dozen injured after army, police try to disrupt pro-freedom in Shopian 

Stage vandalised , tent set ablaze

SRINAGAR : Clashes erupted between government forces and youth after the former tried to prevent the people from holding a pro-freedom rally in Ganowpora Shopian. Over a dozen people sustained injuries in the clashes.
Witnesses said that police and army men in the morning reached near the venue of the proposed rally and vandalised and set ablaze the tent and other furniture. After the forces left the spot people again assembled and again made arrangements for the rally.

At around 2:30 pm , witnesses said,  as the program was going on , forces again rushed to the venue and tried to disrupt the rally by firing teargas shells and pellets. During the clashes, over a dozen people mostly youth suffered injuries. After facing stiff resistance from the youth the forces again fled the spot and the program went on.
