Mirwaiz asks people to be ready for harsh times

Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said finance minister Arun Jaitley’s should be commended for his frank admission that no distinction is made by the forces between militants and stone throwing civilians and both are dealt in same manner by killing, maiming and torturing.

“It does not shock us and but it vindicates what we have been saying. It brings to fore the anti human and anti-Kashmir approach and totalitarian mindset of the ruling regime towards the people of Kashmir,” Mirwaiz said in a statement.

Expressing grief and sorrow over the brutal killing of yet another youth, Irfan Ahmad of Fateh Kadal at Malarata area of Shehar-e-Khas in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said “as the oppression will keep mounting, we have to brace up ourselves for facing more and more hardships in coming days”.

“It is only our faith in Almighty Allah, the justness of our struggle and the sacrifice of our martyrs that will give us the courage to move on,” Mirwaiz added.
