SRINAGAR: J&K Teachers Forum on Friday said the employees are a part of the society and cannot remain mute over the ongoing situation in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, president of the forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani, said employees “feel the pain” being experienced by the society.
“The continuous use of pellet guns and injuring thousands and rendering hundreds blind is the worst example of human rights violation. The killing of innocent youths is an irreparable loss,” Wani, who is also the head of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), a prominent employees’ body, said.
“All the state, national and international human rights organisations are urged to compel the government to conduct the time-bound enquiry into killings and injuring of thousands by the forces. They should play their role in getting the culprits punished.”
Wani asked people to maintain discipline and ensure unhindered movement to ambulances and health employees.
