APM should not be mere crisis management exercise: Tarigami

Srinagar: CPI legislator, MY Tarigami on Friday said discussion in Indian Parliament and All Parties Meeting is a welcome step but it should not be mere crisis management exercise.
“The government should consider the suggestions made by the left and other opposition parties earnestly and take immediate confidence building measures like putting an immediate end to use of pellet guns, removal of draconian AFSPA and withdrawal of army from civilian areas,” he said.

There should be credible plan in place to initiate a sustained and meaningful dialogue with all stake holders to address the underlining political issues otherwise the unrest is bound to replay again in future, he added.
