3 teachers, peon suspended in Baramulla for participating in protests

Baramulla: Three government teachers and a peon have been suspended in Baramulla on charges of participating in anti-India protets.
Chief education officer Baramulla Mushtaq Ahmad told Kashmir Reader an enquiry has been started against “some government teachers and other employees” of education department after receiving complaints that they have been participating in “anti-government protests”.
“Three teachers and a peon have been suspended while enquiry against ten others is in progress and if found guilty might be suspended too,” he said.
He said the suspended employees belong to Baramulla, Singhpora, Kunzar and Wagoora educational zones.
Meanwhile, official sources the government has ordered all district officers to check attendance of employees of each department regularly and ensure their attendance.
They have been asked to stop salaries of the absentee employees.
