Situation won’t improve unless India acknowledge Kashmir as “dispute”: Mirwaiz

Srinagar: Commenting upon the Indian parliamentary debate Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said unless Indian political parties do not acknowledge Kashmir as a “dispute” and not an internal issue, there is very little chance of the situation Improving or real peace returning to the Valley.
” All other efforts to deal with the issue will yield nothing and will prove to be futile as the past 70 years show,” he said.

Mirwaiz said for real and lasting peace and stability in the region aggressive posturing by Indian government needs to be shunned. “both India and Pakistan need to start meaningful dialogue earnestly and engage with the people of Kashmir to seek their opinion and wishes and solve it accordingly,” he added.
