Modi concerned of cows not humans: Er Rashid

SRINAGAR: Awami Itihad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate Er Rashid on Sunday asked the world community to take notice of Narendra Modi’s “sermons on cows” and silence on “butchering of Kashmiris”.
In a statement issued here, Rashid said Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, its media, and right-wing Hindu forces are suffering from “cow mania” and “it seems that for political gains, they will discuss the issues like cow protection for years but won’t bother to take notice of the people of J&K who are denied their fundamental human and political rights”.
“Caring about cows and other animals is not bad but one has a right to know that in a country where human life has no values, where hundreds of young children have been blinded by the use of pellet guns and the whole region being kept under strict curfew, it makes no sense if the PM of that country expressed his views on cow brigades,” he said.
The MLA Langate said while Kashmir is facing the “worst state oppression”, Indian media and politicians are discussing cows.”It is a shameful act and Modi’s silence over Kashmir is ample proof that for Indian state is concerned of cows not Kashmiris,” he said.
