Forget past, join Azadi camp: Freedom Party asks pro-India politicians

SRINAGAR: The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Sunday asked the pro-India politicians to “join the ranks of pro-freedom camp and work shoulder-to-shoulder with people against the oppressive rule of India”.
In a statement issued here, DFP general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari asked the pro-India politicians to “repent before Allah as it is not too late”. “We invite you to join the freedom movement and we are sure the killings and the reign of oppression unleashed by the Indian forces is enough to change your hearts,” he said.
“Few collaborators of New Delhi exploit the masses for their material gains. You (pro-India politicians) should join the freedom movement and forget the past,” he said.
He reiterated his appeal to people to follow the programme issued by the pro-freedom leadership in letter and spirit. “To move forward in a unified manner is the key to success,” he said, adding, “The nation has to remain steadfast and united at this crucial time.”
The DFP general secretary said also hailed the people of Chenab Valley, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, and other regions of the State for organising continuous protests against the “Indian oppression in Kashmir”.
