Kashmir: teargas fired on Nimazees in Safa Kadal

Srinagar: Police and CRPF troopers on Friday lobbed scores of teargas canisters at Zadi Masjid Safa Kadal when people tried to hold a peaceful protest march against the civilian killings.

Locals said soon after Friday prayers,  forces descended in their neighborhood and lobbed teargas and beat up Nimazees coming out of the Masjid. A local, who was offering prayers in the Masjid, swooned due to the excesses committed by the forces. His blood pressure level has shot up and has been removed to SMHS Hospital, a local said.
