4-day shutdown in Banihal

Srinagar: A complete shutdown was observed in parts of Chenab Valley against the civilian killings in the aftermath of Burhan Wani’s killing.
Commercial establishments were shut while traffic was thin on roads throughout the day.
Beopar Mandal Banihal and the Imam of Jamia Masjid Banihal had called for a shutdown for four days. They also said they will follow the programme of the united pro-freedom leadership.
Bhaderwah also saw a complete shutdown against the civilian killings. Residents of Rajouri held protests and observed a complete shutdown.
