Mehbooba indulging in hypocritical politics: Malik

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has ridiculed the statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in which she said that protesters being directed towards camps.
Terming Mehbooba’s statement a callous approach, the JKLF statement said that it was glaring example of cold–blooded hypocritical politics. “If India and its Kashmiri stooges think that people of Kashmir are not with resistance then why do they stop peaceful programs like Jamia Masjid chalo by military might?” the statement asked.
Quoting JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, who along with other JKLF leaders including Muhammad Yasin Butt and Zahoor Ahmad Butt, is languishing in police custody from last 21days, the statement termed the recent assertions of Mehbooba mufti as absurd.
Malik said that on one hand, she is justifying the killings of innocent Kashmiris by saying that they were misled by some people to attack camps and bankers where Indian forces were left with no other option fired upon them and in the same breath she terms them as martyrs and says that the sacrifices of these innocents will not go in vain.
Malik said that Mehbooba Mufti also said that forces would have spared Burhan Wani if they knew he was there at the site of encounter. “By this statement so-called chief minister who happens to be the home minister of the state as well has actually accepted the fact that Indian forces, SOG and police have been provided a license to kill anyone at any time illegally,” said Malik.
Malik said that PDP and its leadership has lost it all as they on hand are trying to deceive people by emphasizing on resolution of Kashmir issue but on the other hand, to please their masters in Delhi and Nagpur, are terming the struggle for freedom as sponsored.
Condemning the ongoing curfew and restrictions and terming it as politics of suppression, Yasin Malik said that if India and its “Kashmiri stooges” think that resistance movement has no backing of people and it is a sponsored one, why they don’t find some courage to allow peaceful political programs like Jamia Masjid Chalo and why do they stop these programs by curfews, restrictions and Policegiri.
