Srinagar: Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi on Wednesday impressed upon the pro-resistance leadership to announce an effective programme to sustain the present movement and to assure the people of Jammu and Kashmir that their sacrifices won’t go waste.
She also urged the “government of Pakistan to call back its envoy from India in wake of the present brutality unleashed by India’s occupational forces across the nook and corner of the Valley”.
“Since the martyrdom of Burhan Wani (RA), people across Kashmir and the Muslim belt in the Jammu region are in a state of mourning and are up against the brutal occupational forces,” she said.
In such a scenario, she added, it becomes imperative for the pro-resistance leadership to announce a programme that would help sustain the present movement. “The leadership is also duty-bound do it so that the people don’t feel that they have been let down by us. If the leadership fails to do so, it will become difficult to pacify our freedom-loving people,” she added.
Andrabi said, Kashmir issue once again in being discussed at the International forums. “If (Allah forbid) the leadership isn’t able to do anything, it will be injustice to the martyrs who have scribbled a new history by standing up against the killer Indian forces and have laid their lives,” she added.
“The murder of innocent people that includes kids and our daughter as well by the forces continues so do the protests, thus the leadership must recognize its responsibility and must act to give a proper direction to this movement for the ultimate resolution of the long-pending Kashmir issue,” she added.
Hailing the role of government of Pakistan for briefing the five main members about the present Indian aggression and the Kashmir issue in the UNSC and for calling a meeting of all of this UN body’s members, Andrabi said that the country has also called for a cabinet on Friday. “ These are welcome gestures but this is important that Pakistan, at the earliest, calls back its envoy from India as a mark of protest so that world comes to know how India is spilling the blood of innocent Kashmiris and is illegally occupying Kashmir,” she added.
On the other hand, she said, it will also clarify that Pakistan backs the genuine demands of Kashmiris and is helping them at every level possible. “In this regard, the Head of Pakistani army, General Raheel Sharif, should also play its role so that to help the oppressed people of Kashmir,” she said.
She further said that the ban on internet and mobile phones by the “puppet government was well thought-out plot to hide the number of causalities of innocent Kashmiris”. “The number of martyrs in these few days is much higher than what these collaborators are telling us. The ban on internet and the mobile connectivity was imposed to hide the exact details of how many of our children were massacred in the past few days,” she added.
She also condemned the detention of pro-resistance leaders Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Both these leaders were detained by the police.
“These occupational forces are looking for Mohtarma Aasiyeh Andrabi everywhere but, they should know that such tactics doesn’t threaten us from pursuing this pious struggle,” she said.
