250 blood pints collected in three days: DHSK

Srinagar: Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) has been organisisng blood donation camps across the valley on routine basis in peripheral hospitals and in that context five blood donation camps have been conducted till date since three days.
The blood donation camps have been organised at District Hospital Anantnag,Sub District Hospital Sopore, Sub District Hospital Chadoora, District Hospital Baramulla and District Hospital Handwara. A total of 250 blood pints have been collected till evening in these three days. Moreover volunteers are donating blood at various peripheral hospitals on routine basis. Staff of Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir are also participating in these camps.
Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman has directed concerned hospital administrators where ever there is less burden of trauma patients the blood pints should be sent to tertiary care hospitals so that patients are benifited who are in dire need. He also expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who came in front to donate blood such that blood banks of vital hospitals be fully functional all the time for patient care.
