Day 4: Protests continue in Kashmir amid curfew

Srinagar: Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown four days after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani’s killing. Clashes, protests are going on many places in the Valley. Also, pro-freedom songs are blaring out public address systems at several places.

In Srinagar, amid curfew clashes are going in Safakadal area in old city. Pro-freedom songs are also being broadcast in Batamaloo area.

At Sopore, clashes between government forces and people are going on at Warvov and main chowk. Protests are also going at many places in Baramulla.

In Anantnag, a strict curfew has been imposed after the killing of another youth. The Bijebehara youth succumbed at  SMHS Hospital last night.
