Two dead, 14 injured in Kashmir road accidents

Srinagar: A minor died while ten others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said Friday.
In Ganderbal, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01G-1836 hit and injured a 4 years old child identified as Rameez Ahmad Khatana son of  Sharif-ud-din resident of  Baba Nagri, Kangan. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kangan where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.
One person died while four others were injured in two different road accidents in North Kashmir’s Uri town.
Reports said that a sumo vehicle hit and killed an elderly person on spot at Dawaran in Uri. The driver of the sumo-JK05A-9765-fled the spit while police have seized the vehicle.
The deceased was identified as Bashir Ahmad Awan, s/o Sabz Ali Awan (60), r/o Dawaran. The driver is absconding.
