SRINAGAR: Datsun on Thursday unveiled its entry level small hatchback, Datsun Redi-GO at an event in New Delhi.
Red-GO was earlier revealed at the Auto Expo 2014 in the Indian capital. The car is expected to be priced between Rs 2.8 lakh and 3.2 lakh. The car will be launched in first week of June. It is based on the same CMF-A modular platform that and will compete with Maruti Suzuki 800, Renault KWID and Hyundai Eon.
The new car sports stylish sweptback headlamps, broad front bumper, hexagonal grille and a rear wheels which connects with the taillights. Redi-GO get plenty of leg space with roomy cabin. The car is powered by 800cc petrol engine which also powers the Renault Kwid. The engine produces 53bhp power and 72Nm peak torque. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Datsun during the launch event revealed that the booking will begin mid-May. The Redi-GO features 800cc petrol engine and is the third car from Datsun brand for India after the Go hatchback and Go+ MPV. The car will be sold through over 200 Nissan-Datsun showrooms and 49 stand-alone outlets in the country. The group will target 300 showrooms soon. The RediGO is third product of Datsun India and fifth global product of Datsun brand. DatsunIndia has also released
a rediGO app for android users.
