Biometric attendance system begins at SKUAST

Srinagar: As part of a major initiative to switch over to e-governance, Biometric attendance system was inaugurated at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST) by Prof. Nazeer Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor on Monday.
The University is contemplating to go for the BAS at all the faculties, stations and KVKs across the Valley and Ladakh division. Currently the work is going on at Faculty of Agriculture, Wadoora which shall be connected in week’s time.
Vice-Chancellor while speaking at the function exhorted upon the officers to ensure staff using the biometric system for ensuring punctuality of the staff.
Vice-Chancellor also complimented in charge ARIS and staff for timely completion of the system at main campus Shalimar that houses University Governance, Directorates and Division under Faculty of Horticulture. Officers of the University and HoDs of the Shalimar Campus were also present on the occasion.
