Jammu: Entrepreneurship is the best possible way to make the state of Jammu and Kashmir economically self-reliant and youth are the key for it, said District Development Commissioner Bhaderwah, Bhupinder Kumar on Sunday.
Kumar was addressing a gathering of civil administration, police officials and people from different walks of life during inauguration of furniture and furnishing outlet (M/S Najar Furniture and Flooring House) sponsored by JKEDI at Bhaderwah.
The entrepreneurial venture owned by Rabia Arfeen is sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI). Her husband Arif Iqbal has been part of the venture which employs more than eight people.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kumar said, “I am happy to be part of this function. It is good to see a young couple running this business venture and giving employment to others as well.”
Kumar urged the local youth to take benefit of different government schemes for entrepreneurship development in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Entrepreneurship is the key to tackle increasing unemployment in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and youth have a major role to play,” said District Development Commissioner Bhaderwah.
