Woman booked for hurling slipper at judge

Nashik: A woman was booked for allegedly hurling a slipper at a judge inside a courtroom here, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place yesterday at a court here during the final hearing of a case when the woman suddenly hurled a slipper at the judge, Narayan Nyahalde, in-charge of Nashik Road Police Station, said.

She also beat up her husband who was present there, he said.

The complaint was lodged by assistant superintendent of the court, Manjusha Kothawade.

The case was booked under IPC sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 228 (intentional insult or interruption to public servant sitting in judicial proceeding) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
