SRINAGAR: Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS) on Saturday said the killing of Kashmiri youth by Indian forces was part of India’s hidden agenda of a slow genocide of Kashmiris.
In a statement issued here, KCSDS said it was outraged by the “murder and mayhem Indian forces have let loose on Kashmiris”.
The group also condemned the continuous detention of a minor girl of Handwara and demanded her immediate release. “The girl’s mother, in an interview, has confessed that her daughter’s statement has been taken under pressure. If police has nothing to hide, why don’t they release her,” it said.
“The distortion of facts of ground reality by media against the victims of state terrorism and presenting them as culprits is condemnable. This is shameful,” the KCSDS said.
Expressing solidarity with the families of slain persons, KCSDS demanded complete withdrawal of forces from civilian space, with immediate effect.
“What is the function of armed forces in the civilian space other than controlling the life and death of people?,” it asked.
