Hurriyat calls for shutdown against Handwara youth killings

SRINAGAR: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani, on Tuesday called for complete shutdown on Wednesday (April 13) against the killing of two youth by Indian Army in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
In a statement issued here, Geelani termed the killing as “state terrorism at its peak”.
“I apologise to the Sikh community for not deferring the shutdown call in view of Baisakhi tomorrow as such a molestation bid by men in uniform is too grave incident,” Geelani said.
