Srinagar: The Srinagar meteorological department has on Monday forecasted pleasant weather in the summer Capital for the next 5-6 days.
According to the weather department, there will be a change in weather for the next few days and the temperatures are expected to show a slight increase by few degrees.
“From tomorrow (Tuesday), overall weather is expected to be fine and pleasant during the next 5-6 days,” Director regional weather office Sonum Lotus told Kashmir Reader.
“However, expel of light rains and thundershowers in evening cannot be ruled out at some places,” he added.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar for Tuesday are expected to be 19 degrees celsius and 7 degrees celsius respectively while as in Jammu, it will be around 31 and 16 degrees celsius.
On Monday, maximum temperature recorded in Srinagar was 12.6 degrees celsius while for Jammu and Leh, was 30.7 degrees celsius and 13.9 degrees celsius respectively.
The total rainfall received in Srinagar from 08:30 to 17:30 hours on Monday was 4.4mm whereas the rainfall received in Qazigund was 2.9 mm, Pahalgam-6.4 mm, Kupwara-4.8 mm, Kukernag-7.7 mm.
Relative humidity recorded in Srinagar was 74% while as in Jammu it was recorded as 40%.
